We will be joined by guest speaker, San José Arts Commissioner Analyn Bones, and will provide updates around how the City of San José is approaching renaming Plaza de Cesar Chavez.

We will also facilitate small group discussions to gather feedback on how our local Filipino American communities want to engage and mobilize around these upcoming public input meetings.

Youth, families, and all ages are welcome to join this important conversation.

Don’t miss out on our Get Out the Filipino Vote efforts happening across 5 cities! Join us in taking action! ☑️

Recent legal challenges to the Voting Rights Act, including the Supreme Court’s ruling in Callais vs. Louisiana, underscore growing threats to fair representation and voter protections before significant election cycles.

As Filipino Americans, we can’t forget our history in fighting for inclusion and voting rights—and our connection to African American communities in the broader movement for equity and justice. Let’s show them what D-E-M-O-C-R-A-C-Y looks like! It’s time to organize!
