"The Beginning"
Silver Lining Missions began in 2005 when founders Chris and Lydia responded to a calling to serve vulnerable children in rural China. Leaving behind a comfortable life in California, t
hey moved their family to Guangxi with a simple goal: to bring hope, care, and opportunity to children who had been overlooked by society. These children were not defined by their circumstances. They were full of potential, resilience, and dreams. What they needed was not pity, but love, opportunity, and people who believed in them. What started as a small workshop providing vocational opportunities for individuals with disabilities soon grew into a broader mission of serving vulnerable children and families. Over the years, Silver Lining Missions has expanded to provide:
