Shop with a Cop SV fosters continued mutual respect between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

Through engendering trust in the community and humanizing the person behind the badge, children see police officers through a positive lens. Shop with a Cop of Silicon Valley (SWACSV) is an all volunteer, charitable foundation designed to give less fortunate children from our community an opportunity to experience the holiday spirit.

A full-circle moment. Congratulations, Ixtcel! 🎓

Watching Ixtcel graduate from UCLA in just three years was a moment we'll never forget.

SWAC has been part of the Alejo family's journey since 2014. Through tragedy, uncertainty, milestones, and celebrations, we've remained by their side—long after many state and local agencies exhausted the support they were able to provide. What began through heartbreaking circumstances grew into a relationship built on trust, hope, and family.

Ixtcel's story is one of resilience. Her journey represents the quiet victories that remind us why we do this work. She is just one of many young people SWAC has had the privilege of supporting since 2008, and seeing her walk across that stage was a powerful reminder of what's possible when a community shows up and never gives up.

Mr. Alejo shared how proud he is of Ixtcel's accomplishment and how grateful he is for SWAC's continued support of his daughters over the years. We are equally grateful to have been part of their journey.

Darrell and Alicia were honored to celebrate this milestone in person, and we couldn't be prouder of all that Ixtcel has accomplished.

That's a wrap on our Spring Reading Challenge!

Back in May, we celebrated 8 weeks of hard work, determination, and incredible reading growth—our students did an amazing job!

We're so proud of every 3rd grader who participated and celebrated their accomplishments alongside their teachers, families, and local officers. Reading doesn't stop after the holidays, and neither does our commitment to helping students build a lifelong love of learning.

Día del Niño at Santee Elementary 🎉📚

What a special Read Aloud at Santee Elementary. Students spent the day reading, taking swings at a piñata, and connecting with local officers.

Día del Niño is all about honoring children, and we’re grateful to create spaces where they feel supported, encouraged, and celebrated.
