Please be aware that today, Tuesday August 25th, the city of San Jose is doing some major roadwork on the Alameda. Our side of The Alameda as well as the block of Heading by our parking lot is closed while they pace The Alameda. While we are excited to see these road improvements happening, it does make it a little bit more challenging to get to the store. If you are on the Alameda and you can’t turn onto heading all you have to do is turn right onto McKendrie Street. Then take a right on Myrtle Street and then you’ll be at heading if you turn right around the cones you can turn into the parking lot. If anybody is there, just let them know that you were trying to get into the parking lot of the businesses.

Have you or your Unit had the chance to contribute to the World Friendship Fund yet?

The World Friendship Fund offers a Good Turn opportunity for Scouting America youth members and leaders. Contributions are used to assist Scouting through the World Organization of the Scout Movement and through National Scout associations in developing countries. Tax-deductible contributions can be from individuals, units, camp, and training course groups. Unit participation in the World Friendship Fund offers a unique annual service project to benefit Scouts around the world.

Now is the time to put one foot in front of the other and head to the Scout Shop to take advantage of our Thorlo promotion.
