Taiko Community Alliance

Taiko Community Alliance Founded in October 2012, the Taiko Community Alliance empowers people and advances the art of taiko.

The TCA leadership is made up of a group of recognized taiko leaders representing the geographic and artistic diversity of the community. After the TCA was incorporated in the State of California and established a bank account, the JACCC agreed to turn over the account balance containing profits from previous conferences. These funds would serve as seed money for the next conference, which is plan

ned for Summer 2015. In the future, the TCA may also support other activities and initiatives to enrich and strengthen the taiko community. These may include: sponsoring conferences in other regions across the country; hosting visiting taiko artists from Japan for workshops; supporting groups and individual artists in the creation of new taiko pieces; supporting taiko-related research projects; serving as a repository for historical documents and materials; sponsoring individuals to pursue taiko studies in Japan; and other projects that will support the growth and continuity of this artform.
