Foundation for Equal Citizenship (FFEC) was established in November 2015 and is registered as a non profit organization in New Delhi, India under Section 8 (1) of the Companies Act, 2013 and is approved for 80G. We believe in taking

a holistic approach for overall development and empowerment of any community since social, economic and environmental factors are interlinked. Instead of specializing in one area such as education, health, livelihood, resource management or skill development our approach is to prioritize interventions on a need and impact basis by first engaging with the community, then partner with non-profit organizations, universities and/or corporations that have the expertise and work in collaboration with them and the community. Our focus is on women and youth as their empowerment can bring about sustainable change in their community.

It started with an incomplete puzzle… and a thoughtfully designed activity that encouraged creative thinking. 🧩💡

In one of our phonetics sessions, students engaged in a creative exercise where they were given an incomplete puzzle and encouraged to complete it in their own unique way.

💬 Alongside this, the session also focused on strengthening basic conversational skills using the simple present and present continuous tenses..enabling students to form sentences and express themselves with greater confidence. 🌱

Somewhere between the activity and the interaction, learning became a natural part of the process. ✨

💛 We continue to design sessions like these to make learning more engaging..encouraging children to explore, express, and build confidence at their own pace.

100% result. 100% grit. ✨

This year feels different at Kadam Learning Centre.

For the first time, every single student passed.

Behind this number are stories of consistency, quiet effort, and showing up every day despite challenges. Especially our girls, who continued their education while navigating family restrictions, social barriers..and still led the way with outstanding performance. 👏

It started with simple conversations… and ended with so many little voices finding their rhythm 💛

Our Raah Session with Samina Mishra brought together 28 amazing kids who explored the world around them in the most playful way…through observation, imagination, and rhymes.

There was laughter, there was hesitation, and then there was that moment when each child just owned their expression ✨

A big thank you to Samina Mishra for bringing her own unique energy and perspective to the session, and for engaging the children with so much care and creativity 🌱

These are the moments we hold on to. The small shifts that mean everything.

26th of the month.
26 girls in the room.
Coincidence? Maybe.
Impact? Definitely. 🌸

On 26th March, a menstrual hygiene awareness session was conducted in Trilokpuri by Hasin Fatima with 26 adolescent girls (aged 11–19 years).

The session focused on building a basic understanding of menstruation, addressing common myths and misconceptions, and encouraging healthier practices. A safe and open space was created where participants could ask questions and share their experiences without hesitation.

Discussions also included practical guidance on managing discomfort and the importance of nutrition during this time. The session aimed to promote confidence, dignity, and self-care among the participants.

Overall, the session was interactive, informative, and well received. 💛

Behind every meaningful gathering is a team working quietly in the background to make it possible.

team members came together for the children and adolescents from the Roshni and Buniyaad projects to share an iftar filled with warmth, laughter, and connection. As the fast came to an end, what followed was more than just a meal. it was conversation, comfort, and a sense of belonging.

Every detail, from preparation to serving, was carried out with care by the team.. turning a simple gathering into something truly meaningful.

a special thank you to , whose constant support and leadership from California continue to guide us, and to our donors and partners who make moments like these possible.

Because in the end, it’s these small, shared moments that quietly build stronger communities. 🌙

Ramadan is a time of reflection, compassion, and community.

This month, organised Ramadan gatherings at its centres, bringing adolescents and team members together to share moments of connection and togetherness.

📍 6 March — Buniyaad Iftar at the Women’s Centre, Trilokpuri
Adolescents from the Buniyaad Project joined the FFEC team for an evening of reflection and shared conversation.

📍 13 March — Kadam Iftar at the Kadam Centre

In total, 60+ adolescents and 20+ FFEC team members came together to celebrate the spirit of Ramadan.

Small gatherings like these strengthen community bonds and remind us why shared spaces matter.

Every person deserves to be seen, recognized, and counted.

Through Project Pehchan, FFEC conducted awareness sessions and community camps in Trilokpuri to identify individuals who lack essential identity documents. By guiding and supporting them through the process, we help them take their first step toward formal recognition, access to rights, and social inclusion.

02/24/2026

Through door-to-door outreach, parent engagement, and admission support, Project Roshni identifies out-of-school children and helps families navigate the school enrollment process.

Access to education begins with access to information, and FFEC is committed to bridging that gap.

Project Roshni’s Yuva Leaders' Training in action!
