Empowering grassroots changemakers 🌱

Under the project “Strengthening Girls’ Education Retention and Women’s Awareness in Nuh District, Haryana,” funded by FFEC USA in collaboration with Sir Syed Trust (SST), a capacity-building session was conducted for Jal Sakhis, Digital Sakhis, and Resource Teachers.

The training focused on WASH practices, awareness of the RTE Act 2009, and strengthening access to social protection schemes related to health, education, livelihood, pensions, and scholarships. building stronger, informed, and more resilient communities in Nuh. 🤝✨

This is just one of the many initiatives and community-driven activities we will be undertaking across the district as we continue working toward empowerment, awareness, and lasting change.

🌸 Project Pehchan | Building Support Beyond Education

As part of Project Pehchan, FFEC organised a Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana awareness and account opening camp at MCD School, Trilokpuri, with the support of India Post.

The initiative focused on helping families understand the importance of financial security for the girl child through savings, education support, and awareness around government welfare schemes. Around 35–40 new Sukanya Samriddhi accounts were opened during the camp. 🌸

Girls associated with Kadam Centre and Project Roshni also benefited from the initiative. Small but meaningful efforts like these continue to strengthen awareness, improve access, and create better opportunities for the future.

It started with an incomplete puzzle… and a thoughtfully designed activity that encouraged creative thinking. 🧩💡

In one of our phonetics sessions, students engaged in a creative exercise where they were given an incomplete puzzle and encouraged to complete it in their own unique way.

💬 Alongside this, the session also focused on strengthening basic conversational skills using the simple present and present continuous tenses..enabling students to form sentences and express themselves with greater confidence. 🌱

Somewhere between the activity and the interaction, learning became a natural part of the process. ✨

💛 We continue to design sessions like these to make learning more engaging..encouraging children to explore, express, and build confidence at their own pace.

This year feels different at Kadam Learning Centre.

For the first time, every single student passed.

Behind this number are stories of consistency, quiet effort, and showing up every day despite challenges. Especially our girls, who continued their education while navigating family restrictions, social barriers..and still led the way with outstanding performance. 👏

It started with simple conversations… and ended with so many little voices finding their rhythm 💛

Our Raah Session with Samina Mishra brought together 28 amazing kids who explored the world around them in the most playful way…through observation, imagination, and rhymes.

There was laughter, there was hesitation, and then there was that moment when each child just owned their expression ✨

A big thank you to Samina Mishra for bringing her own unique energy and perspective to the session, and for engaging the children with so much care and creativity 🌱
