Thank you to everyone who helped us serve more than a thousand local students and families at our Back-to-School Peace Party!

The Back to School Peace Party was a huge success! 🎉📚✌🏽

Together with Alum Rock Union Elementary School District , we were able to support more than 1,200 students and families as they prepare for the new school year. We provided school supplies and uniforms to help students start the year with confidence, but this was about so much more than that.

This was a celebration of our community, filled with fun, hope, and positive vibes!

Families enjoyed:
🛹 Free skateboard lessons
🎁 Skateboard giveaways
💇 Free haircuts
🎨 Face painting
😂 So many Squishmallows and squishies!
🎉 Giveaways, games, and so much more!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our incredible donors, partners, volunteers, and community members who made this event possible.

🛹 Who’s skating with us this Saturday?

The Peace Party: Skate Jam is back!

Join us at Red Park (Mayfair) from 12–3 PM for an afternoon of skating, music, giveaways, and good vibes. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been skating for years, everyone is welcome. Grab your board, bring your friends, and come be part of it. ✌️

🌳 Let’s show Mayfair some love.

Before the Skate Jam, join neighbors and volunteers for the Mayfair Neighborhood Beautification Project from 9:00–11:30 AM at Mayfair Community Center. Spend the morning making a difference, then stick around for an afternoon of skating and community at the Peace Party. ✨

🎒 We still need 500 backpacks.

This Saturday, hundreds of local students will come to our Back-to-School Peace Party expecting a backpack and school supplies. If you’re able, bring a new backpack to donate or make a gift to help us purchase the rest. Together, we can make sure every student starts the school year with confidence. ❤️

This summer meant a lot to us!

We had the chance to support ARUSD students all summer long through our Journey to Peace, with the help of our amazing team of Peacemaker interns.

Watching our students grow into leaders and invest in the next generation is something we never take for granted!

We can’t wait for the new school year!

Our PLA students showed up and showed out for Cinco de Mayo 🇲🇽🎉🙌

From helping organize events to bringing energy and leadership throughout the celebration, these high school students worked hard to create a meaningful and fun experience for their school community.

We’re proud to see our youth using their voices, culture, and teamwork to make an impact both on and off campus ✌️

This past Sunday, our students and community came together for a powerful Cinco de Mayo march and parade. From music to movement, every step was a reminder of the strength and pride we carry together.
