Pack-A-Back Providing backpacks and school supplies to underserved children so they have the opportunity to learn, succeed, and follow their dreams.

The Pack-A-Back program is a crucial for the students and families who depend on it. Breaking the cycle of poverty hinges upon access to quality education. By supporting Pack-A-Back you will be helping children fulfill their dreams. You never know where or how the next great leader, scientist or doctor will make an impact on all of humanity. By providing school supplies to a child in our community

that could not otherwise afford them, you will be giving that child a chance to receive an education, have opportunities for success and financial self sufficiency, and ultimately contribute back into their communities.

We are so thankful for our amazing volunteers and donors who were able to make our 2021 Pack A Back drive a success! Together, we were able to give back to our community and equip the younger generation with the tools they need to succeed. We would be nowhere without our network of volunteers, donors, and our community. Thank you for showing up to create a more equitable San Jose for all!

MDI's 2021 Packing Day on August 7th was a tremendous success thanks to all of the Volunteers and Donors for the event. We raised over $48,000 and packed 602 backpacks for high school children, and those backpacks were distributed by Sacred Heart the week before school to the children in need.

Special thanks to some of our corporate donors and large groups of sponsors: Safeway, Brallier Fine Woodworking, TD Thornton Group, Francisco Tile, Sereno Agents, and Allstar Plumbing. Together we worked to create a more successful community!
