Almaden Lions Club We are a positive group of caring men and women. Our purpose is to make a difference in our community. We accomplish this with a magically vibrant spirit.

The Almaden Super Lions Club (formerly known as the South San Jose Lions Club) founded in 1956 is a member of the Lions Clubs International - the largest service club organization in the world! Our club is made up of 100% local volunteers who provide services to our local community and spreads throughout the world. Our Charitable foundation, the South San Jose Lions Club Charitable Foundation, is

a 501C3 Corporation. All contributions to the foundation are 100% tax deductible. Each year more than 43 men and women of the Almaden Super Lions Club donate their time and energy to projects that help needy children, adults, and families.

100% of all funds raised go directly to providing for children, adults, and families in need. Some of the ways in which we serve can be found under the "About Us" tab at www.almadenlions.org

To help serve, we sponsor a variety of fundraising events. Our main event is the I Care Classic Bike Tour, which takes place in May every year. All proceeds go to purchasing eye exams and glasses for needy children in several San Jose school districts. You can make a difference in the lives of children, adults, and families right here in your community and throughout the world by donating to the South San Jose Lions Charitable Foundation. 🦁Our Poinsettia with Willow Glen Lions Club sale was a success! We want to thank everyone who bought, helped with unloading, organizing ,and delivering the plants today. A big shout out to Linda and Ron Smestad for chairing this fundraiser, and hosting us including letting us take over their house for the day. The hard work from Valerie Long, Victor Lewkowitz, James Glancey, Peter Herrera, Lion Dave Kaplow, Linda and Ron Smestad, Shelia Struthers, Bob and Judy Froom we were able to unload sort quickly for everyone to pick up the poinsettias. Let the holiday season begin.
