Thank you The Mercury News for highlighting this year's Walk a Mile in Their Shoes and helping shine a light on the importance of ending gender-based violence.
What makes this event so meaningful is the community that comes together for a united message. Survivors, advocates, families, sponsors, volunteers and community leaders all play a role in creating a future where everyone can live free from violence and have equitable access to support services.
Thank you to all who joined us!
About 600 people registered to take part in the YWCA’s “Walk a Mile in Their Shoes” to raise awareness about domestic violence and sexual abuse.
