"I am a technical writer by trade and an artist of several flavors by practice. I am always learning something new and loving it! A few of my favorite things to do are:

Making dollhouse miniatures out of wood, polymer clay, and old books
- Drawing and sketching
- Altering books into sculptures and binding miniature books
- Making items from polymer clay
-Playing the shamisen, Nagasaki harp (taishogoto), and my player piano
My practices bring me joy and focus in my life and, of course, content for eclectic blog posts. More recently I started recording some of my processes and hope that you’ll enjoy watching some clips of that."

Visiting artist Sabra Briere will be doing demonstrations all day and displaying her dry pastel artwork. Sabra's technique is fascinating as she builds up color by using darker colors under lighter colors to create depth and dimension. Check out Sabra at Naglee Park's 17th Annual Open Studios, a free art walk, this Sunday from 11am-5pm at 15 S. 12th Street (Site #18).
