Curious about the filming thats been taking place on Lincoln Avenue?

Hicklebee's Bookstore:

Here's some info from the independent film company who used Hicklebee's as a location in their upcoming movie "Trooper and the Legend of the Golden Key." It's a wonderful family film where a 10 year old boy, and his bloodhound, Trooper, save Willow Glen’s coveted bookstore from the clutches of a very greedy and not-so-nice mayor. The producer has told us the expected release date for the film will in late summer. The film will be released first to international audiences. After that the film will come back to the United States where it will find its way to DVD rental and purchase sites. It may also be released on TV. We'll keep you posted.

Willow Glen used to be its own city, but in 1936, Willow Glen residents voted 978 to 871 in favor of annexing to San Jose. The main reason had to do with Willow Glen’s poor sewage system. Great event tonight!

The lovely ladies from Team Bosom Buddies put on this fabulous taco bar event on Blewett Avenue to raise money for their Relay for Life team benefiting the American Cancer Society. Members from the community came together to donate everything from food and drink to massages! A special thank you to TrioSpa on the Alameda, UnaMas on Hamilton and Hobbees in the Pruneyard for your generous donations that helped make this event a success. I must say the tacos were DELISH and with the monies earned going to such a great cause it was a win win all around!
