北加州台灣會館誠摯邀請您下週四 (5/14) 參與由-- 「耕南書院」(Keng-lâm Su-īⁿ) 發起之台語 AI 科技講座。
數位時代下，台語傳承迎來新契機。「耕南書院」(Keng-lâm Su-īⁿ) 特別邀請 MIT (麻省理工學院) 的張凱為博士與 USC (南加州大學) 的周惶振博士，分享如何建構高品質台語語音資料庫。從影視學習工具「TaigiTube」到語音辨識技術「TaigiSpeech」，他們致力於開發友善的數位應用，為長輩提供居家安全輔助（如語音呼叫救護車）、服藥提醒與預約回診等便利服務。
【徵求錄音參與者】
為協助研發更精準的台語 AI 系統，徵求講座當日願意參與語音錄製的鄉親朋友 ：
·錄音目的：收集到的數據將用於開發與改善台語語音辨識及關鍵字偵測技術。未來應用可能包括為獨居長者或以台語溝通為主的對象提供居家照護輔助。
·參與條件：年滿 18 歲，台語為母語或能流利使用者 。
·活動方式：在研究人員引導下，以台語朗讀日常詞句，過程約1小時。
·隱私保護：資料均以編碼去識別化處理，並儲存於加密設備中，僅供研究團隊存取 。
·報名：歡迎有意願參與錄音之鄉親朋友們向--台灣會館辦公室人員報名。

你敢有想過, 咱平常咧講 ê 台語，未來嘛會使和 AI 對話？
對真濟(很多)人來講，台語就是心內上親切 ê 聲音。
這場講座欲 chhōa (帶) 大家來看日常 ê 台語是按怎一步一步走入科技世界。
按「TaigiTube」開始，用台灣戲劇、新聞來學台語，親切閣倚(靠近)生活；
到「TaigiSpeech」，打造 hō͘ AI 嘛聽有台語 ê 語音系統。
嘛誠心邀請各位來參加錄音，
幫忙兩位博士收集台語聲音檔案，來做閣較濟(多)台語 AI 相關事工
這馬真濟(現在很多) AI 攏聽有英語、華語，毋過台語，猶閣無夠普遍。
若未來會當用台語叫語音助理、
甚至應用佇序大人(長輩)照護，生活一定會更加方便、更加安心。
講者也會分享他佇台北做社福服務 ê 經驗。
對真濟序大人(長輩)來講，台語是上自然、上順 ê 語言。
尤其佇需要幫助 ê 時陣，會當用台語溝通，真正是足重要。
這毋若(不但)是科技 ê 進步，嘛是咱語言和文化 ê 延續。

From TaigiTube to TaigiSpeech: Developing Taiwanese AI for Language Learning and Home Care Assistance

“Can AI understand our language?”
Have you ever wondered if the Taigi we speak every day one day be used to talk with AI?
For many people, Taigi is the most familiar and heartfelt language, the voice closest to home.
In this talk, we’ll explore how Taigi is moving from everyday life into the world of technology, from TaigiTube, which uses dramas and news to make learning Taigi more engaging, to TaigiSpeech, an effort to build AI speech systems that can understand Taigi.
We also invite you to participate in a recording session to help two researchers collect Taigi speech data, supporting the development of more Taigi-related AI applications.
While many AI systems today support English and Mandarin, Taigi is still underrepresented. Expanding it into voice assistants and elder care could make daily life more accessible, comfortable, and safe, especially for older adults.
The speakers will also share firsthand experience working in social services in Taipei, where Taigi is often the most natural language for seniors. Especially in times of need, being able to communicate in Taigi is truly important.
This is not just about advances in technology but also about preserving our language and culture.
