Tamilnadu OSAAT schools enjoy a special reputation. They are either good. Or better than good.

A glimpse into the scores and the pass percentage:

GHSS Girls Thirukazhukundram is one of 2 schools in the state to be honoured with the Kamarajar award for best performance in 2025-26. While 4 students score over 98% with overall Class X at 91.7% and Class XII at 97.5%.

Kayarambedu has the Class X Chengalpattu district topper with 98.8% including 24 students closing in to 90% and above scores. That’s a streak.

Karaikuruchi has a list of exceptional toppers, despite a slight decline. A Class X student scored 100s in 3 subjects - Math, Science, Social Science.

Vellaingadu school has a consistently high pass percentage ranging between 95 - 99% over 3 years for both Class X and Class XII, that also saw 100% last year.

Melanikuzhi is no stranger even to 100% pass rate last year for Class X drops a bit this year, while Class XII is strong at 96.4%.

These results are not just about marks. They represent confidence, aspiration, and the belief that every child—regardless of where they are born—deserves the opportunity to dream big.

1000+ new admissions reported from just 4 of our new schools inside the first week! More increase is expected in the coming weeks as the session starts.

We followed 4 recently built OSAAT schools for new enrolments, in the middle of the excitement. It was delightful to see the impact of a new school building as admission enquiries kept coming in.

At Masti, OSAAT’s biggest school with 21 classrooms the pace is different, with close to 200 new admissions in 2 days.

At Sullia, now Dakshina Kannada’s biggest school, there is a growth of almost 25% in new admissions as almost 250+ students had enrolled.

At Melavanki, where student strength went double in 2 years crossing 1000, prompting a second new OSAAT block, 209 new admissions had already been done.

At Hosmar, 60 tiny tots enrolled on the first day for the new block while total numbers had crossed 300.

It makes it all worth it to see learning in villages thrive, as OSAAT provides rural students the opportunity to learn in a safe, hygienic environ with dignity.

This also slows down migration to cities, as the best learning opportunities are made available back in the village itself.

85% of OSAAT schools have helped sustain or increase the enrolments in their districts. It’s admission time again and the schools are bustling with activity.

Admission time. Parents in queue since 6am. School opens, and in 1 hour, 40 kids join LKG and admissions are closed.

This happened not in an urban private school, but a rural government school! Karnataka Public School, Lokkanahalli at Hanur taluk, Chamarajnagar district.

Just an year back, as many as 150 of the 275 students were being huddled in available spaces in very old rooms for classes.

OSAAT stepped in, built a new classroom block in 9 months, supported by a kind hashtag from USA.

The result is an that is beyond expectations. More enrolments and a school that's in great demand.

B. Prathibha, Block Education Officer expressed happiness that parents were voluntarily choosing the government school and noted that 40 children had already been admitted to LKG. If more admissions are sought, discussions could be held with higher authorities about opening an additional section.

SSLC results alert: ODiSI schools were measured on results compared to ALL schools, including private and aided schools.

The ODiSI impact takeaways are clear:
- Govt school students can be at par with private ones with the right support.
- More number of students continue to higher studies due to good grades.
- Dropout levels are being contained.

These sample schools selected from a few Taluks prove that targeted intervention can successfully level the playing field, with performance often exceeding expectations despite lower funding.

Learning attracts children in its own ways, even in the quiet corner of a government school, where a science lab has become a place of wonder.

Children at GHPS Benkipura, Karnataka, who used to be writing lab practicals are now memorised to see the lab present models that they learn with.

They gather around with bright eyes, eager to touch, observe, and discover. Along with a dedicated science teacher who is leading them to learn and share.

As science learning gathers momentum, it opens up new options to the rural students, as they open up to pursue their dreams.
