It's almost time for "Lights Up!" Here, playwright Lauren Doyle talks about her eerie thriller "Breadcrumbs, Honey, & Bone."

Think dark fairy tale meets New England, with taxidermy, art, and secrets. April Culver plays Alice, who is broke and lonely, with nothing going for her, until a reclusive relative leaves her a small house in the woods.

Experience a dynamic staged reading of Lauren's play this Sunday at 2 pm. It's all part of our annual festival spotlighting new plays and local artists. Link in bio for details!

You've seen him on our stage in musical theater and concert mode, or offstage with a mic in podcaster mode. Now we're having even more fun with AJ Jaffari as City Lights' summer marketing intern! If you see him around the theater with a camera or mic, be sure to say hi.

Besides appearing in "Kinky Boots" here in 2023, AJ is also a regular performer on other Bay Area stages. His recent stage credits include "Frozen," "The Prom," "Legally Blonde," "Unnecessary Farce" and "Fiddler on the Roof," earning him four SF Bay Area BroadwayWorld Award nominations.

AJ is an active part of the City Lights family, regularly conducting interviews for our Filament podcast, and singing on stage at our musical benefits and at his own solo concert last year. Currently studying Radio, Television, and Film at San Francisco State University, AJ is excited to join the team and assist with a variety of creative projects.

When he’s not in the theater, he enjoys creating his own music and co-hosting the weekly podcast Broadway with AJ and Sarah. We're so happy to have you with us this summer, AJ!
