Trans Day of Visibility in San Jose was so tight. Between the free food, clothing swap, harm reduction resources, workshops and so much more there was something for everyone. BASH was on hand distributing free pepper spray and other self defense tools to the trans community, because keeping people safe is what good superheroes do. SUPER POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

Your Friendly Neighborhood Protest Heroes were back in action for the No Kings protests in San Jose and Oakland. Shout out the the bazillion people who came out to rally and march, and even bigger shout out to the groups out helping people learn about ways to keep being involved in community work after the protest is over. We have a long road ahead of us fixing this country, but it’s energizing to see how many of us are on the side of good. See you all at the next one!

It’s always a good day in Oakland, and even better when that days is the Oakland Freedom Run! Huge thanks to the Black Panther Party Alumni Legacy Network and the Oakland Ballers for inviting us out, and to all our amazing new friends who stopped by the booth for free harm reduction and self defense supplies! Who doesn’t love a good crossover event? Last night BASH was joined by our friends Skyline and Kevlar Cat for an outreach mission in downtown San Jose. We passed out over 70 hot meals, care packages, tents, and other supplies to people sleeping on the streets. It was a great time meeting new heroes from other areas and sharing ideas with each other. Sometimes the superhero community is pretty cool.

BASH is so excited to partner with our friends from the Black Panther Party Alumni Legacy Network and the Oakland Ballers for the Oakland Freedom Run, celebrating 60 years of the Black Panther Party and 100 years of Black History Month!

Join us at Raimondi Park on February 28th for a 5k run around historic Oakland, and then catch your friendly neighborhood superheroes at our booth during the community wellness festival after the run! We will have harm reduction supplies, self defense tools, and educational materials free of charge, so stop by and say hi!

and are teaming up once again for a FREE self-defense workshop for the Bay Area LGBTQ+ community! We will be covering verbal de-escalation techniques, physical self-defense techniques, as well as the use of safety tools. Self-defense tools such as pepper sprays, alarms, etc. will be available for all participants, free of charge. More deets below:
