What an unforgettable day at Satori Cellars for Saved By Nature’s 8th Anniversary Celebration. A full house, a beautiful summer afternoon, and a community that showed up from as far as San Francisco and the Central Valley.
Founder Richard Tejeda and Saved By Nature were honored with accommodations from Supervisor Sylvia Arenas and Jasmine Huang, Environmental Policy Aide for Supervisor Otto Lee, recognizing 8 years of work to reduce the environmental equity gap through transformative environmental education — and for connecting people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, and abilities to nature and the great outdoors.
It was smiles all around with Fred McCasland and CEO Mark Washbush from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley showing their support. Our partners WERC and Visionary Arts brought wildlife encounters and Japanese fan‑making that made the day unforgettable.
Huge gratitude to donors Victoria Villareal for her absolutely delicious desserts and Minerva Arellano for the stunning charcuterie board.
