We are beyond proud of the work Charmain Jackman, Conferences for Women speaker and friend, is doing to bring access to therapy to women of color through InnoPsych. This directory is helping people find their ideal therapist and breaking down the stigmas surrounding mental healthcare.

Additionally, InnoPsych provides professional resources, networking opportunities, and business coaching to therapists building their practices.

On a monthly basis, we host networking events and workshops with successful business professionals who share valuable information and resources to all attendees.

“Your inner voice is the GPS of your life….If I listened to the world, I wouldn’t get out of bed. I’ll be 59 in January and everything on social media says you’re old, you’re fat, shut up. I have to get up every day and say ‘Hell no!’ to that voice. And you know what? I’m a big woman, and if you can’t hide it, decorate it. Here it is!” — Grace Killelea

Do you feel like lack of confidence—not competence—is holding you back? Then you'll want to hear what Killelea had to say in her 2017 session "The Confidence Effect" at The Conferences for Women. This session will explore what you can do to cultivate your presence, bounce back from setbacks, seize opportunities and overcome fear so you are ready to suit up, show up and speak up with confidence.

Listen in to one of our Best Breakouts now:

Niyla writes, "I want to nominate my Nana, Shelley Coulter, who has been my everything from the day I was born. I am 10 years old and my mother put me in my Nana's arms when I was 1 week old, to be safe. My Nana works as a Family and Community Engagement Specialist at Rosedale Middle School in Kansas City, KS. She is also a children's author. Through this time of COVID 19, she has served her students and has donated money, encouraged people and family with words of hope, and given books to parents for their children to read."

If you or someone you know is going above and beyond to help in her community, we'd love to hear about it. Please visit https://www.watermarkconferenceforwomen.org/storytellers/ to share their story with us for our campaign. You nominee may win tickets to this year's event plus a $500 Target gift card!

"Perfectionism is not serving us and people-pleasing is not serving us. Putting our ambition on hold is not serving us. So I think we've got to try something new."

Reshma Saujani, CEO and founder of Girls Who Code, sat down with Target EVP Laysha Ward for a special episode of Women Amplified: A Podcast from the Conferences for Women to discuss bravery and courage and how those are the skills we need to succeed, not perfectionism.

We love hearing what Michelle King, a Conferences for Women friend and speaker, has to say in her recent op-ed for CNN.

What do you think: Are women better leaders?

While it may take a global pandemic to finally acknowledge the capability women leaders have, companies shouldn't wait until there is a crisis to afford women an opportunity to lead, writes Michelle P. King, director of Inclusion at Netflix.
