Hello beautiful Donors, I wanted to update you on the status of the Bore hole pump water well project for Hope Village community school, Zambia . The quote we have received to finish the bore hole well did not include the building of a small fence around the well or a lock around the water meter. So, for safety reasons, we need to have the fence installed, so no one will climb the tower or get hurt. The fence is a safety issue, and a lock on the meter, is needed so that the pump doesn't get damaged. That’s the normal procedure of how these wells are usually built in Zambia and it was unfortunate not to included in the original quotation that we received. We, today, have negotiated a lesser price, for the fence and lock, because we are an NGO, not a government school, and it amounted to $845.00 more. Work for a government school, would have had a higher price tag. This is the last of the charges, once we secure this amount, we will have enough funding for the whole project. The final stretch to clean water for 2026. Oscar and the principal of another district, Mr. Hagai went today together to Mongu, a town where Oscar has been going back and forth, to the drilling company and discussed the total final price, inspect the equipment that will be used in the bore hole; the tank, pump, solar panels fence, lock to make sure it was of quality materials. And it was. I spoke with both Oscar and Mr. Hagai, this morning and discussed the procedure for finishing the well. We have a new estimate for the whole thing and the work and equipment is guaranteed for two years. If you know someone that is like yourself, and would like to help, so that we can have clean safe water to drink in the Village, please pass along this message. We discussed going without the fence, and the lock for now, to save money, but we would have to do this eventually, and couldn’t see anyone getting hurt, there, especially the children, while we were waiting, to get enough funding for the well. We have educated over 100 students since we began, thanks to your donations. We are growing so much and need to have clean water nearby to sustain the school and the Village. Please help us. We are almost finished with the bore hole, but need some more funding to complete the well. We appreciate any amount you could give and if you can not, please share this video. We love you.
