💛 Mental Health Monday

Today, we we want to remind our community of a simple but powerful message:

You are not alone.

A conversation, a text, a phone call, or simply checking in with someone can make a meaningful difference. We all have a roll to play in creating a community where people feel seen, supported, and valued.

If you know someone struggling, help is available. The 988 Su***de & Crises Lifeline provides free, confidential support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call or text 988 to connect with a trained counselor.

At Valle Monte League, we believe that connection sparks hope and that mental wellness matters every day of the year.

💛 Take a moment today to check in with someone you care about.

Mental Health Monday 🐾

Did you know that spending time with pets can help reduce stress, lower anxiety, and boost feelings of happiness and connection?

Whether it's taking a walk with your dog, cuddling with your cat, or simply watching a pet's playful antics, our furry friends have a special way of helping us slow down, smile, and stay present in the moment.

Today give your pet an extra hug, take them on an adventure, or share a favorite photo in the comments. We'd love to see the animals that bring joy to your life!

Because sometime the best therapy has four legs and a wagging tail. 🐶🐱

Today, we are spotlighting one of our agency partners, Operation Freedom Paws.

Operation Freedom Paws gives people and dogs a second chance. By partnering with shelters and rescues the dogs are carefully evaluated for service work. OFP creates life changing partnership with veterans, first responders, and individuals with disabilities. Each client commits to a 48-week service dog training program and taking an active role in the training of the dog they've been paired with.

What makes their program truly special is the bond created during the training process. Participants work alongside their future service dogs, building trust, confidence, and independence, and companionship every step of the way.

A service dog can do far more than provide assistance, if can offer comfort during difficult moments, reduce feelings of isolation, restore confidence, and create life-changing opportunities for connection and healing.

Through the power of human-animal bond, Operation Freedom Paws helps individuals regain independence, improve their quality of life, and find renewed hope for the future. This program OFP offers is 100% free to their client, OFP is a nonprofit organization, run by staff who share their mission, and manu of whom were once clients themselves.

Valle Monte League is proud to support Operation Freedom Paws and the incredible work they do throughout our community.
