I forgot to post these two photos. The rose is thought to be Fee Opale, but used to be sold as Hume's Blush or Park's Yellow. Neither of those would make a huge bush like this, and they both rebloom, which this, sadly, does not. But when it's in full bloom, it's spectacular. Big cleanup day in parts of Guadalupe Park, including the Heritage Rose Garden. The City has finished clearing the encampments and trash from Columbus Park, across Taylor Street from the rose garden, and along Guadalupe River. I know many people have been avoiding the rose garden due to the nearby encampments. Please come enjoy the roses again!

Great group of volunteers from UC Irvine Alumni doing a day of service. Good hard workers, they trimmed back many of our overgrown old garden roses!

You would think it was spring again! So much bloom. And it was cloudy today, so it didn't get too hot.

The main spring bloom is past, but there are lots of roses with clusters of small flowers that are still in full bloom. The bees love them!
