Need something better for your morning commute? 🌊
Every Thursday at 6:45 a.m., we release a new episode of BE. Stories from the Sea of Cortez: 20 minutes of true stories to start your day with hope.
A 100-foot ship and a house that sold in four hours. A hurricane sitting offshore. A boy no one stopped for. A fisherman who put down his nets for the first time to sit in a dental chair. And the God who still does miracles along the coast of Mexico.

God is beyond time and space.
Thirty-four years of marriage, three churches, and two continents—and the same God keeps writing the next chapter.

Simon’s gone. Trudy’s next. And the waiting is still the hardest part.
Simon peaked as a Category 4, slowed to a tropical storm, and is basically done now out in the Pacific. Looks like it will miss Mazatlán completely.
Trudy became a Category 1 yesterday. The cone shows it might skim our coast Monday, so we’re still watching and getting ready. The supplies you helped us bring down are already here. As soon as the weather settles, we can get them to the families who need them.
The same God who has carried us through every other storm is still with us. That’s what the newest episode of our podcast is about — “The Hardest Part Is the Waiting.” It’s just a letter about all the storms this ministry has weathered, the ones with wind and the ones without it. Through every single one, God has been faithful. He still is.
It went live yesterday. You can find it on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or our website if you want to listen.
Would you pray for the communities we serve? And if you know someone who needs a little hope this week, would you share the episode with them?
Thank you for walking (and sailing) with us.Be hopeful. Be loved. Be encouraged.

Friends, Zeus and I started a podcast! BE. Stories from the Sea of Cortez.
Our Hurricane Simon Special was recorded while Simon sits offshore. We're safe, and it's the most personal thing we've ever shared.

Listen free on Apple Podcasts or Spotify and please pray for the families along this coast.

1,600 miles with health supplies.
Today we prepared for Hurricane Simon—jib off, dock lines doubled, boat secured.
Storms don’t stop the work. Your partnership puts Home Health Kits and medical care into the hands of families around the Sea of Cortez.
Thank you for helping us keep going.

After our 1,600-mile drive from the U.S. carrying Home Health Kits and medical supplies, we spent today preparing for Hurricane Simon.
Zeus removed the jib, doubled the dock lines, secured loose gear, and went through the rest of the pre-storm checklist on the boat. The same God who has carried us through previous storms is still with us, and the supplies your partnership made possible are already here, ready to serve families once the weather settles.
We’ve done this before—Hurricane Pamela, long drives on rough roads, and the quiet work of getting ready so we can keep showing up. Your monthly support and one-time gifts let us bring basic hygiene items, first-aid supplies, and Bible-based health education into communities that need them most, even when the forecast looks uncertain.
Thank you for standing with us.
BE. Hopeful. Loved. Encouraged.

Last week we shared an urgent need at Academia Ancla on Isla Piedra after a violent storm struck around 3:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29. The winds tore the roof off the school building, damaged classrooms, and left the community without power for two days. Thankfully no one was hurt, but the school that serves as a bright light for the lowest-performing students from the public system—keeping class sizes at a maximum of 12—was left unable to reopen safely.Your response was immediate and generous! Within days, the needed funds came in to help repair the roof, air conditioners, outdoor covers, playground equipment, and desks. We are so grateful! Amazing Grace Maritime Missions
