Exhibition District Local Color is Woman Owned & Operated 501(c)(3) Nonprofit building 💵💰💸💎 opportunities for creatives at the intersection of art + community development.

The Exhibition District is a group of artists dedicated to colorizing and curating +40K sqft of outdoor public mural space in the heart of Downtown San Jose. Our potential line-up includes highly acclaimed local and international artists as well as collectives working within the city. Working closely with the Knight Foundation and San Jose Downtown Association, we are planning for two murals and t

wo coordinating events as part of a larger vision. We have partnered with many local businesses, collectives, galleries and individuals to ensure the success and possible longevity of this project. The Ex-D goes above and beyond to advocate for artists interest. We aim to pay professional wages for professional work. The Philadelphia Mural Arts Project says it best:
"Art Is An Economic Engine
This is not art for art's sake. Our institutional wisdom and intellectual property have value, add value, and are valuable. There's no shame in earning fair compensation for unique professional expertise." Welcome to the Exhibition District, where Voyeurs are wanted.
