History in the making! For the very first time ever, The Dancing Cat presented our Volunteer of the Year Award, and we could not be prouder to honor Deb Codiroli, our incredible Kitten Program Manager!

Deb has been a vital part of The Dancing Cat family since our earliest days in 2015. We have helped over 700 kittens find their forever homes, and so much of that milestone is thanks to Deb’s tireless dedication behind the scenes.

From coordinating intake logistics and supporting our foster network to connecting with potential adopters, Deb is involved in every step of a rescue kitten’s journey. Her heart for these cats does not end at adoption either—she regularly checks in on adopters years down the road to see how they are doing!

And if that were not enough, Deb shares in one of the most creative jobs in rescue: coming up with names for the kittens that enter our care! 😂

Deb, your compassion, hard work, and endless devotion keep our kitten program running strong. Thank you for everything you do for the cats, our team, and our community.

Looking for a kitten with a big personality? Lemon Pepper is your guy. He’s a brave adventurer who loves to explore every nook and cranny. Nothing intimidates this little sprite whether he’s showing off his athletic prowess chasing a feather wand or wrestling with his buddy Cypress, his energy is infectious. But once playtime is over, this brave adventurer melts into an absolute sweetheart.

His buddy Cypress is a thoughtful communicator who loves to curl up on your lap and run his V8 purr engine. He loves other cats and is Lemon Peppers partner in crime and personal groomer.

This perfect pair found each other and now they’re looking for someone to find them!

Meet our Featured Cat of the Month, Katie!

At 8 years young, Katie is living proof that age is just a number. She still has plenty of playful energy and the sweetest, most gentle heart.

Katie is an absolute baby at core. She loves nothing more than being held close, lounging in your lap, and sleeping right on your chest or cuddled in your arms at night. Because she takes her bedtime cuddle duties very seriously, closed bedroom doors are a strict no go for her! She will greet you at the door when you come home, happily listen to you talk about your day, and tag along to the bathroom to gaze at the mysterious shower waterfall.

She is a confident girl with a great routine: she loves play sessions in the morning and evening, but she is also smart enough to keep herself entertained with interactive toys.

If you are looking for a playful, loyal, and cozy companion, Katie is ready to steal your heart!

Manuka is a handsome, smart, playful, and affectionate orange boy who loves being in the middle of everything. He will greet you at the door, ask for pets and dinner, and happily chase wand toys before curling up beside you for a cozy nap.

Because he is so enthusiastic, he can occasionally get overstimulated during play. He would thrive with an adopter who understands cat body language and loves keeping a smart kitty engaged.

Manuka is FIV positive but that doesn’t stop him from living a full, happy life! So many kitties live with this and thrive.

Grå soakin up all the best energy and fresh air in the catio at his foster home. We don’t often meet people who have the deep and abiding patience needed for a cat like Grå who is not seeking out people for his enjoyment of life. While he offers some convivial leg rubs during dinner service he mostly wants to do his thing, practicing a live and let live bohemian lifestyle. He loves his cat friends and his freedom to be himself. He wants to live in a multi-cat universe where no one is needing anything in return, and for us humans and our egos and desires that is such a challenge. If autonomy, mutual consent, and peaceful co-existence resonate with you, this beautiful boy should be considered.

This bright and beautiful Calico cutie would love to find a home with someone who wants to build a meaningful relationship with a sensitive, smart and loving being. No loud, active homes for her, she seeks a peaceful but enriched life with stimulating engagement like play, puzzles and learning tricks (she can play a little treat dispensing piano!).
