We are Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful, a community-based organization that focuses on Coyote Creek in the largest watershed in the southern San Francisco Bay. Did you know water striders have their own language? 👀

These tiny insects communicate by creating ripples on the surface of the water! Their taps and vibrations can send messages to other water striders, helping them find mates, warn others, and signal danger.

Thanks to the 36 AWESOME volunteers who came out this past Sunday!! At Los Lagos we collectively cleaned up 76 bags of trash! 👏 We found some interesting items like an an 2 carts, 2 bikes, foam piece, blanket, chair, wheel, golf collector, gas tank, cardboard, water jug and a bowling ball!! 😮 We appreciate Councilmember Bien Doan's staff for showing up to support us. Thank you so much for helping keep our creeks clean! Amazing teamwork volunteers, we appreciate your effort! 🙌

Thank you, volunteers, for helping us tend for a better and brighter tomorrow this past Saturday with San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory - SFBBO and we gratefully acknowledge our project funders Rose Foundation and San Francisco Bay Keeper. 🌟 Again another fun filled day of mulching! Mulching helps slow the return of invasive species and holds in moisture. We finished up quickly and had time for a short nature walk! We truly appreciate your hard work and commitment to preserving our ecosystems! 🌱 🙌

We had a private cleanup with Archbishop Mitty High School! We had 23 Freshmen and 3 parents and chaperones out at the Vietnamese Heritage Garden at Kelley Park. 🤯 🎉

They filled 40 bags and cleaned 620 feet of creek bank! 🏞 🤝🏻
