National Night Out is a time to come together and show up for each other, and District 4 definitely did!

From the festivities at Willow Glen Neighborhood Association (WGNA) to Wi******er Orchard Neighborhood Association to Cadillac Wi******er Neighborhood Association - CWNA, my team and I visited nearly a dozen National Night Out celebrations. We saw competitive water balloon contests, face painting, food trucks, chalk art, and most importantly, neighbors supporting neighbors. This incredible sense of community means more than gathering together — it means residents feel safe, listened to, and inspired to make their home a better place for all. And I am beyond proud to represent a district that creates that opportunity for true connection.

Thank you to Shasta Hanchett Park Neighborhood Association (SHPNA), Wi******er Orchard Neighborhood Association, Willow Glen Neighborhood Association (WGNA), Cory Neighborhood, Cadillac Wi******er Neighborhood Association - CWNA, Glenside Riviera Neighborhood Association, City of Santa Clara, Campbell Village Neighborhood Association, and Hamann Park Neighborhood Association for always working to make your neighborhoods shine. Thank you to all of the first responders who joined the fun. I can't wait for next year!

Reminder: National Night Out at The Beautiful Way Park on Tuesday, August 4th

We're now only six days away from National Night Out, and SHPNA will once again host an event in The Beautiful Way Park this year.

SHPNA National Night Out
Tuesday, August 4th
5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Beautiful Way Park
(corner of The Alameda and Hanchett Ave)

There will be live steel drum music, chalk art, games for the kids (and kids-at-heart), food from local restaurants (courtesy of SHPNA), and even a visit from Sharkie!

National Night Out (NNO) is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Held on the first Tuesday of August each year, NNO often takes the form of block parties, cookouts, potlucks, and gatherings on a neighbor's front lawn.

We were thrilled to welcome so many friends and neighbors to the Park during last year's National Night Out. We look forward to seeing familiar faces - and some new ones - at this year's event.

We'd like to thank County Supervisor Susan Ellenberg for her generous support of this year's event.
