The “Die-In” and rally with 10 other organizations at SCVMC on Friday, June 5, got some great news media attention, helping to alert Sacramento that they can’t afford to cut Santa Clara County healthcare funding.

This is more than a paint night, it’s a space to honor ourselves, build community, and stand in solidarity with cancer patients who deserve care, dignity, and support.

✨ Free event | Donations welcome
All proceeds will go to our General Patient Fund, which provides direct support for community members facing cancer who have lost income or do not have the means to cover essential expenses. This includes:
• Funeral expenses
• Food assistance
• Rent support
• Medical bills
• Other urgent basic needs

Because no one should have to choose between treatment and survival.
Because healing also means stability.
Because dignity is a right, not a privilege.

Dear Community,

We’d like to share an upcoming community education panel focused on healthcare access, workplace protections, and support programs available to women in our region.

Women’s Healthcare: Access, Rights & Community Care will offer practical, real-world information, including:
- How to access reproductive healthcare
- Maternity and sick leave rights, including protections that apply regardless of immigration status
- Community-based programs that support women’s health and preventive care

The event is educational and nonpartisan in nature and is hosted by Democratic Activists for Women Now (DAWN) as part of its When Women Lead community education series.

🗣 Spanish interpretation will be provided

✅ Housing Navigator & Case Manager
Support cancer patients facing housing instability through our Prescribed Housing Pilot Program-providing financial housing assistance and case management as a health justice intervention to prevent homelessness during their most vulnerable time.

✅Programs Manager
Oversee our community-based programs, support staff, and ensure high-quality, compliant service delivery aligned with our mission, values, and funder commitments.

✅Development & Engagement Manager
Lead fundraising and engagement strategy, steward donor relationships, and build sustainable systems that support long-term growth and community investment.
