Dorothy J Carson Memorial Scholarship The Dorothy J Carson Memorial Scholarship is an annual scholarship for two San Jose State Valley Foundation School of Nursing students.

Student should be matriculating full-time, have a minimum 3.5 GPA, and be a declared nursing major and a demonstrated financial need. The recipient agrees to work no more than 20 (twenty) hours per week during the academic year. Special consideration will be given to those students that have served in the Military or have fam

ily members that are Veterans or active duty. Students will be nominated and selected by a committee of no fewer than 3 persons selected by the Director of The Valley Foundation School of Nursing or her/his representative, and interviewed by the Donor and/or 1 or more representatives of the Donor’s family. A student may receive the scholarship more than once, and preference will be given to continuing recipients.

Tiffany Low and Victoria Montgomery will be GRADUATING Dec 20,2013 from the San Jose State Valley Foundation School of Nursing!! Congratulations to our very first scholarship recipients!! We couldn't be prouder of our girls and how well they have represented Dorothy Carson.
Remember to always reach back, guide those behind, appreciate this what this opportunity has provided and pay it forward.

A HUGE THANKS to everyone that participated in our VERY SUCCESSFUL first annual fundraiser last night!! WOW is all I can say about the event. Wasn't the singing group Pitch Please from San Jose State amazing!? Tiffany Low, Victoria Montgomery, Alexandra Shilling and Kristen Rio Hoffman rocked the raffle/auction duties and were troopers all night-thanks ladies!
Garvin Thomas was a fantastic MC and made the dessert auction a ton of money! Thanks Garvin! Thanks to our family and friends that pitched in and helped to make everything flow and made sure our guests had an enjoyable night! Will fill you in more later but wanted to say these quick thank yous.
