Athena Camps is the Bay Area’s leading girl-powered summer day camp. During her week at camp, girls from kindergarten to 8th grade build community, confidence and creativity through the unique combination of sports, art themes and mentorship. This summer, Athena Camps’ coaches lead campers in celebrating friendship, discovering her inner beauty and dreaming big.

This Summer, our Scotts Valley coach Danielle (Dani!) is teaching a Safe Sitter® Course through Scotts Valley Parks & Recreation!

Safe Sitter® is designed for girls in grades 6–8 and covers everything from babysitting basics and home safety to caring for younger siblings — all through hands-on activities, games, and role-play. It's practical, confidence-building, and genuinely fun.

Two ways to join:
1-Day: Saturday, June 27 | 9:00AM–3:00PM | Senior Center
2-Day: Tuesday & Thursday, July 7 & 9 | 4:00–6:30PM
Ages 11–14

There's something about an all-girls environment that makes friendship feel different. Girls show up as themselves here and they find each other because of it. That's one of our favorite things to watch happen every single summer!

At an age when so much feels out of their control, yoga gives girls something powerful: a relationship with their body. It teaches them to breathe through hard moments, to be still when life calls for it, and to trust themselves. And the physical benefits are real, too! More flexibility, balance, and body awareness. But what really sticks is the stuff we can’t see - the ability to reset. To show up calm. To know that they can handle whatever comes next. Scotts Valley families, we have something extra for you this summer! Our very own Coach Dani is teaching a Safe Sitter® Course through Scotts Valley Parks & Recreation, a perfect add-on for your middle schooler this summer. Safe Sitter prepares girls ages 11-14 with real-world skills: babysitting, home safety, and caring for younger siblings all through hands-on activities, role-play, and games. It's practical, fun, and confidence-building!

Two options to fit your schedule:
1-Day: Saturday, June 27 from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
2-Day: T/Th July 7 & 9 from 4:00–6:30 PM
