Tickets are now available for the 2025 Charity Burn Gala!!

This night celebrates the brave Burn Survivors from Valley Medical Center in San Jose. It is also a chance to recognize and honor the Burn Nurses and others that care for them. If you have attended in the past, you know this is the Foundation's signature event. If you have never attended, the Gala is a night filled with purpose and hope.

Please join us for a catered dinner, drinks, music, dancing, silent auction, photo booth and a brief award ceremony.

As a certified 501c non-profit, we raise money all year long to care for and support Burn Survivors at VMC. We are an all-volunteer organization, founded and run by off-duty San Jose Firefighters. If you are significantly burned anywhere in the Bay Area, there is a very good chance you will be transported (or flown) to VMC's Trauma Burn Unit in San Jose. There is no better place in the country for comprehensive burn care.

Buy a ticket. Sponsor a Survivor. Make a Donation.

The physical check was tiny, but the amount was definitely not! The Scotts Valley Fire District donated $4,370.52 to the Firefighters Burn Foundation from a Co****le Tournament held earlier this year. This is the fourth year hosting the tournament and all proceeds from every year have gone straight to Burn Survivors at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose.

It has been a busy year for VMC and the Firefighters Burn Foundation. YTD, the Foundation has sponsored 13 Burn Survivors, purchased 3 sets of burn garments for recovery, sent 15 burn nurses to the American Burn Association (ABA) annual conference, and hosted the Kids Burn Survivors Camp in July.

All these sponsorships and programs are made possible by grassroots donations like the one from the Scotts Valley Fire District.

Sometimes as a Burn Foundation, our reach is far and wide.

The family of a 3 year old Burn Survivor in Escondido, CA reached out to the Firefighters Burn Foundation in San Jose, asking for help. While it’s not our norm to help somebody 443 miles away, we felt it was our obligation to help this courageous Burn Survivor. She suffered a scald burn 3 weeks ago and is currently recovering from her injuries. At our core, our #1 mission as a certified 501c non-profit is to support burn survivors, and sometimes for us, it doesn’t matter where they live.

"Escondido, can you feel the love?!!!"

Last week, the Firefighters Burn Foundation covered $3,511.50 in burn garments for a patient that could not afford them. As a Foundation, we decided that her recovery was more important than her pain. Burn garments are worn 20+ hours a day during the recovery process and help with scaring, redness, itching and are made custom-order for each burn survivor.

Please help us this Saturday, November 26, 2022 as we host our annual Fill the Boot Fundraiser in San Jose. What makes the Firefighters Burn Foundation so unique is that we are all volunteer, with no paid staff. We believe this is important because your funds donated on Saturday go directly to Burn Survivors in need like the one we sponsored last week.
