🎓 Congratulations to our preschool graduates from our Grail Family Services San Antonio and Story Road preschool sites this month! We are so proud of each child as they take this exciting next step in their educational journey.

This milestone wouldn't be possible without the dedication, care, and heart of our incredible teachers, who create safe, joyful, and nurturing classrooms where children can learn, grow, and thrive every day.

At Grail Family Services, we know that lasting change happens when community and policymakers come together with a shared commitment to families.

Yesterday, Executive Director Veronica Goei joined fellow members of the Sí Se Puede Collective in meeting with Santa Clara County Supervisor Betty Duong and her team to strengthen our partnership in support of the Mayfair community.

The conversation focused on the Collective's evolving strategic vision, opportunities to align with SCC D2 priorities, and next steps to advance policies, resources, and community engagement that reflect the voices and leadership of Mayfair residents.

As one of five organizations in the Si Se Puede Collective, Grail Family Services is proud to advocate for investments that create greater opportunities for Mayfair's youngest children and their families to thrive. We are deeply grateful to Supervisor Duong and her team for their continued partnership and commitment to ensuring that government investments are guided by community priorities. 🧡

This morning, we had the opportunity to welcome Cadence Design Systems, City Year, and several employers to the Mayfair Community Center for a special volunteer event in partnership with the City of San José and the Mayor’s Office.

As a global leader in engineering, semiconductor design, and advanced technologies, Cadence Design Systems represents a promising partner for expanding STEM education, career exposure, mentorship, and workforce pathways for youth in our focus communities. Through the Cadence Giving Foundation’s $4.5 million investment in 2025 to advance STEM education and community initiatives, their work aligns closely with the Children and Youth Services Master Plan’s priorities around Learning & Empowerment and Meaningful & Sustaining Jobs.

Special thanks to SOMOS Mayfair Co-Executive Director Victor Vasquez for speaking on behalf of the Sí Se Puede Collective and uplifting the work we lead in support of the Children and Youth Services Master Plan in the Mayfair Demonstration Site.

We were thrilled to join our partners at and Councilmember to celebrate a major milestone by SOAC in securing the final $3M investment for La Placita as part of the La Avenida Cultural District.

Grail Family Services is proud to be part of the services coming to La Placita. East San José is a child care desert, and we are working to open an enrollment center on-site to expand access to quality child care for families in the community.

More to come—but we’re excited to stand alongside the Sí Se Puede Collective on Alum Rock Ave. serving and uplifting our community. 💛
