The Michael Van Every Burn Fund has supported the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center Burn Center since 2023, helping provide patients, families, and burn survivors with the resources they need throughout recovery. As we look ahead to this year's San Jose Q&A, we’re proud to spotlight the specialized care happening at the SCVMC Burn Center and the role community generosity plays in supporting it.

San Jose Q&A sponsorship opportunities are currently available for organizations and businesses looking to join us in championing burn care and recovery. Interested in supporting the Michael Van Every Burn Fund? Visit https://vhfca.org/mve.

A year ago, Jeff Garmany’s life changed in an instant when a hit‑and‑run left him paralyzed. With the unwavering support of the incredible team at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, Jeff began a long journey of healing, strength, and resilience — one his community walked with him every step of the way.

Last year, his wife Laura ran the Bloom Energy and Tarana Wireless Stars and Strides Run/Walk in his honor. Today, we’re sharing Part 1 of Jeff’s story — a powerful reminder of what courage looks like.

Stars & Strides is for everyone: walk, run, roll, or cheer. Every registration and donation helps support the exceptional care behind stories like Jeff’s.

Find links to register for Stars & Strides, as well as the full‑length video, in our bio.
