A beautiful example of what becomes possible when Valley Health Foundation brings together innovative Santa Clara Valley Healthcare physicians and partnership from philanthropy! Thanks to FIRST 5 Santa Clara County and our dedicated supporters, FIRST 5 funding transformed an idea into reality with the NICU Family Wellness Program. This new program has already supported more than 150 families as they navigate an incredibly critical time.

As Nurses Week comes to a close, so does our $5,000 donation match opportunity.
We’re proud to honor Mesia Hala, RN, who has dedicated more than 20 years to caring for patients at the award‑winning Burn Center at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. A grateful patient named her as the reason they chose to give - a testament to her extraordinary impact ❤️

Today we celebrate motherhood in all its beautiful forms đź’™
Whether you became a mother through birth, adoption, fostering, blending families, or through the deep bonds of chosen family, your love makes a lasting impact.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Valley Health Foundation supports spaces where families grow - like our Family Baby Unit, offering private postpartum rooms for healing and connection, and our Women and Children’s Center, home to exceptional Labor & Delivery and NICU teams. Donor‑funded technology and family‑support programs help ensure that every baby and every parent receives the care they deserve.

We’re also proud to recognize Valley Medical Center staff being honored this weekend at the Lactation Impact Awards - including recognition for Physician of the Year and for Outstanding NICU Lactation Program. Their work uplifts families without judgment, honoring every feeding journey.

Your healthcare is at risk, and the clock is ticking.

Federal Medicaid cuts are pushing Santa Clara County toward a $700M+ shortfall by 2028. Our public hospitals represent just 6% of California's total, but operate more than half of the state's trauma centers and train nearly half of all new doctors. Losing them isn't a budget problem; it's a public safety crisis.

Call your assembly member and state senator and tell them to fight back.
