Friends of Vinh Son Orphanages

Friends of Vinh Son Orphanages The orphanage is administered by the Sisters of the Miraculous Medal who, with our help, provide:

1. A safe environment.
4. GUIDING PRINCIPLES

1.

As an approved 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, Friends of Vinh Son Orphanage provides a coordinated effort to raise resources that provide a happier and more fulfilling quality of life for the children at the orphanages. Primary and secondary education as directed by the Vietnamese government.
2. Life skills to ensure the children become self sufficient.
3. Food, clothing, shelter and medical

care. Our sole purpose is to help the children of the VinhSon Orphanage.
2. Successfully integrate the orphans into the Vietnamese society while being mindful of the political and cultural realities.
3. Our focus will be from a humanitarian perspective.
4. Funds and in-kind gifts will only benefit the orphans and their caregivers.
5. Executive Board Members, Board of Directors members, and Members at Large will endeavor to expand membership and increase funding.
6. Distribution of funds will be at the direction of the Executive Board and Board of Directors. These principles drive every decision. We use this Facebook fan page and our web site as our primary tools for communication, friend raising, and fund raising. Our board and staff are all volunteers, and no one in this organization receives compensation for their services. Each member pays their own expenses for trips to Vietnam. DONATIONS WELCOMED
We hope you will be moved to help the children with a donation. The price of one take-out large pizza (about $12) will feed, educate, and shelter one orphan for one month. It is our hope that others who are interested in helping the poorest of the poor’s orphans will choose to participate in this very worthwhile and life sustaining cause. If you wish to contribute, we encourage you to not only make a personal contribution, but to spread the word about our work to other Vets, your church and community groups. Please send your tax-deductible donations and checks to:

A New Year message from Y Thiet, one of our college students.

May life always treat us well, bringing us many new opportunities, meaningful experiences, and the courage to embark on new paths, even if the road ahead is full of challenges and storms. I wish everyone a life filled with joy and laughter every day, great success in their work, and hearts always warm and full of hope.

Meet Y Huu, a resilient 4-year-old from a Sedang tribal family in remote Kontum. As the youngest of 18 children, her parents struggled to care for her. But thanks to the loving sisters at Vinh Son 1, Y Huu now lives in a safe, supportive environment and is preparing to start kindergarten next year.

❤️ She is healthy, happy, and thriving — and it’s all possible because of YOU.
