Heads up - expect lane closures during construction on Coleman Ave in the area of 880 and Newhall!

🚧SJC CONSTRUCTION ALERT🚧: We are building a new Fire Station to serve both the Airport and the community. To accommodate the construction, there will be a temporary phasing of lane closures on Coleman Ave. near Newhall Dr., beginning at the end of August through early Fall 2021. Two lanes will remain open at all times in all directions; however, expect some traffic delays in this area.

Share the road and use caution as bike lanes will be affected and the sidewalk along northbound Coleman Ave. (between Airport Blvd. and Newhall Dr.) will be closed for pedestrian safety.

They're alive! After eight years of advocating to Caltrans, The Alameda is repaved and safer than ever. Drivers - please DO NOT run these red lights. The ticket will sting just as much as if you ran a standard traffic light.

The sky over the Bay Area has a strange yellow glow this week. There's clearly wildfire smoke in the air - as there has been for three weeks - but the sooty conditions seemed different than in past days.

No need to do the pee-pee dance all the way back home anymore. All San José park restrooms are now open! Park restrooms will be cleaned throughout the day according to use. If you choose to visit a park, bring your own water since drinking fountains remain closed. Remember to follow all posted signage and State and County guidelines, including practicing physical distance.
