This coming November, we will be hosting our very first Scholarship Fundraiser on the 13th in Alameda with live jazz, drinks, small bites, a silent auction, and we will be recognizing our 2022 SEI Scholarship Recipients!

Much like many of us in the community and beyond, members of the Social Equity Initiative have witnessed, heard, and experienced moments characterized by feelings of despair, frustration, and helplessness. These collective moments experienced by Black people have propelled us in unity to combine and share knowledge, lessons, and skills to take action. While there are extant groups endeavoring to make an impact in their respective areas, we aim to bridge gaps between organizations and to connect individuals in need to these organizations. The areas we are primarily focused on include STEM Education, Technology, Health and Wellness, and Wealth and Financial Literacy. Above all the Social Equity Initiative promotes and facilitates continuity between community needs and groups (including, but not limited to, businesses, schools, community organizations, and other non-profits) that can provide support and relief.
