Purr Diem

Purr Diem We achieve our purpose by conducting the following activities:

Foster Program:

Purr Diem provides a temporary home to animals until they are adopted.

Purr Diem is a nonprofit corporation whose purpose is to promote and provide the services and resources needed to end animal overpopulation and protect the safety and well-being of animals. These animals include:

- orphaned kittens and puppies
- injured or sick animals
- senior animals
- animals in need of socialization and training

Foster activities include:

- Provide food and other nourishmen

- At home care for common conditions such as upper respiratory infections, internal and external parasites and ringworm
- Administering vaccinations, flea treatment and dewormer
- Providing a safe environment that allows for physical and mental development
- Socialization and behavior training
- Transportation to and from veterinary appointments
- Advertise animal
- Screen and interview all potential adopters

Transport Program

Purr Diem transports animals from areas of oversupply, where chance of adoption is low and euthanasia rates are high, to areas with a higher chance of adoption. Relocation and transport decreases shelter overcrowding directly decreasing euthanasia rates. Organizational Assistance:

Purr Diem provides support to other animal non-profit organizations through the following activities:

- Procurement and Redistribution
- Supplies
- Source and store supplies
- Log demand of supplies from participating organizations
- Redistribute supplies based on demand
- Volunteer
- Source new volunteers
- Log excess supply and low demand of volunteers from participating organizations
- Redistribute volunteers based on demand
- Infrastructure Solutions
- Create personalized G-Suite that can be utilized by staff and volunteers.
- Provide access and customization to foster tracking system

We built this chicken coop…and WOW, it was WAY harder than we thought! Seriously, why can’t instructions be clearer? 😅 But we made it happen! We donated it to a sweet elderly gentleman who wanted to give his parakeets a safe space to enjoy the outdoors — a give his dog a much needed break from all the taunting 🦜🐶 (Because, yes, parakeets can talk, and they never stop! 😂)
