If you are looking for something relaxing to do today, Midtown Family Services staff and volunteers are tabling today at Dave Cortese's Picnic by the Lake in Hellyer Park along with 100 or so other agencies. Event is free including pumpkin patch and burgers.

Pleased to share this event as Midtown Family Services staff and volunteers will be tabling at the Marshal Cottle Park terminal of this event, educating participants in the event about the risk of opioid overdose in our community, demonstrating how to disrupt an opioid overdose using naloxone nasal spray, and distributing naloxone nasal spray free-of-charge to persons that demonstrate knowledge of how to recognize and disrupt opioid overdoses using the nasal spray following our demonstration. Hope to see a large number of our friends there. ...and if by chance you'd like to volunteer, I could use some help setting up at 8:00am, tabling from 10:00am to 2:00pm, or cleaning up from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. No previous knowledge required. I will train. No need to come for the whole day either. Pick the activity and time convenient to you.
