2022 SUMMER COURSE: CONVERSATIONAL MANDARIN, NOVICE (IN-PERSON + ONLINE)

This fast-paced hybrid class is suitable for learners of different professions across various age groups who've had some previous exposure to Mandarin/Chinese (e.g. familiar with PinYin System, 200+ basic words) and would like to review and brush up on their existing listening, speaking, reading, writing and basic daily conversation skills.

The class explores a variety of everyday topics using Novice-level Mandarin language skills to communicate useful information with tasks directly associated with social situations such as exchanging greetings, making acquaintances, and identifying a number of familiar objects from the surroundings. Learners will find interactions helpful in personal lives, workplaces, traveling or business occasions, which helps solidify the foundation in the Mandarin language. We will also discuss a variety of relevant topics, including but not limited to Chinese cultures.
