TAP Charity Inc. In an effort to reconnect with old friends during the pandemic, the graduating class of ’89 from Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (T.S.E.C.) was born.

Our vision is to provide economic opportunities for the underprivileged in India from infancy through adulthood by supporting programs that improve health, education, livelihood opportunities, and psychosocial development. began meeting on a regular basis. It was through these social gatherings via Zoom, the group realized they were of one mind with respect to wanting to give back to their communi

ties in India, especially with the devastating impact of Covid-19. Having this in mind, TAP Charities Inc. With the goal of a comprehensive approach, TAP (TSEC Alumni Philanthropy) Charity Inc. focuses on funding nonprofit organizations who specialize in four main areas: Health, Education, Livelihoods, and Psychosocial Development. In May of 2020, during the second deadly wave of Covid-19 in India, we launched our first fundraiser to send oxygen concentrators and medical equipment to India. One of the group's members Karon Shaiva, founder of the RISE Infinity Foundation, a well-recognized nonprofit, was instrumental in coordinating and managing the procurement and distribution of medical supplies to hospitals and those in need. As a result of this first fundraiser, we recognized the real life impact these contributions can have, but also realized that not being a foundation complicated the process. Thus, TAP Charity, Inc. officially became an incorporated foundation in September 2021.

You know what it took to get that degree. The sacrifices your family made. The pride on your parents' faces when you finally made it.
