The 2026 Heart of the Valley Benefit for Youth Programs was certainly one for the books. Thank you to everyone who showed up, donated, sponsored, volunteered, and made this incredible night possible ❤️ This community continues to amaze us.

Oh what a night! ❤️

The Heart of the Valley Benefit this Saturday night was one of those evenings that reminded us just how special this community is. There was so much joy in the room — old friends catching up, new connections being made, lots of laughter, dancing, and an incredible amount of love for the kids and families who make this community what it is.

Together, we raised over $120k for our youth programs in honor of Zoila Berardi’s 50 years of service to our children. We are so incredibly grateful to everyone who showed up and gave so generously to make that possible.

Celebrating Zoila’s legacy surrounded by so many people whose lives have been touched by her work was truly unforgettable. Our community continues to show us, again and again, what it means to show up for one another.

First ever Vaccine and Wellness Day Next Thursday, October 15! ❤️

This fall, the West Marin Community Resiliency Team (West Marin CRT) is launching a new approach to healthcare in West Marin through Community Vaccine & Wellness Days — bringing essential preventive healthcare services closer to home.

At each Vaccine & Wellness Day, community members can access vaccines, blood pressure and vision screenings, with mental health screenings available for seniors.

The San Geronimo Valley Community Center’s annual Heart of the Valley Benefit is happening Saturday, October 10 — and this is your final chance to join us!

This year, we’re especially proud to honor the incredible Zoila Berardi and celebrate the lasting impact she has had on generations of children and families in our community.

💃🕺Dust off those dancing shows at Swingin’ in the Valley this Sunday!

Join us Sunday, September 27, from 5–7:30 PM at the Woodacre Improvement Club for Swingin’ in the Valley, a fun night of live music, dancing, b**r, w**e, and community.

🎶 Josh & the Wittness will be bringing the tunes, with:
• 5 PM: Dance lessons — perfect practice for the Benefit!
• 6 PM: Community dancing + live music
• 7:15 PM: Shim Sham line dancing lessons
• Then, more dancing!

Never danced before? No partner? No problem! All levels are welcome.

What an incredible weekend. ❤️

Our 12th Annual International Day of Peace Festival was filled with music, art, reflection, connection, and so many powerful reminders of what peace can look like when we create it together.

A special thank you to the San Quentin crew for making Friday so meaningful and sharing their films, stories, and experiences with our community. Our panel with Demora Price, Cori Thomas, Lonnie Morris, and Sam Robinson was one of the most powerful moments of the weekend.

Saturday’s Community Crystal Bowl Sound Bath with Sophia Luce gave us a beautiful moment to slow down, reconnect, and recharge.

And Sunday was pure joy — AgapéSoul, Orquestra de Reciclados de Cateura, ELM, incredible local artists, young musicians, community art, movement, and so much dancing. Seeing so many people come together to celebrate was a beautiful reminder of what peace can look like in action.

Thank you to every artist, musician, speaker, volunteer, partner, and community member who made Peace Fest 2026 so special.

Peace Fest starts Friday 9/18 with a San Quentin film festival and panel discussion moderated by Alexa!

Join us September 18–20 for three days of music, art, film, reflection and community as we celebrate the power of peace at the 12th annual San Geronimo Valley Community Center International Day of Peace Festival.

Here’s what’s happening all weekend:

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18
5:30 PM – Reception benefiting the Lagunitas 8th Grade Civil Rights Trip
6:30 PM – San Quentin Film Festival screenings featuring Healing Through Hula, Processing and Exonerated, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Alexa Davidson

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19
6:00 PM – Community Crystal Bowl Sound Bath with Sophia Luce in the Courtyard
