The school day ends, and ELM begins.

Books open. Instruments come out. Friends arrive. Rehearsal starts.

And somehow there is always room for a little laughter in between. đź’™

One Sunday. Two concerts. So many students stepping into their moment.

On June 7, Pre-Orchestra & SinfonĂa performed in the afternoon, followed by Intermezzo & elmYO in the evening.

From arriving with instruments in hand, to the quiet seconds before going onstage, to the final bows, our students filled the day with concentration, courage, laughter, and music.

Each ensemble brought something different to the stage. Together, they made this Spring Concerts day unforgettable.

Congratulations to every ELM musician who performed, and thank you to the families, teaching artists, and community members who were there to celebrate them đź’™

Singing helps children learn vocabulary and identify sounds in words, studies found. Music also reduces anxiety and playing instruments can aid motor control.
