The next Repair Fair is this Saturday, August 15, in Marin City at The Lab! From 1- 4 p.m., they'll have volunteers to fix your broken things like bikes, lamps, small appliances, textiles & more. This Repair Fair will also include a book & clothing swap.

There's a new CERT training scheduled for this month!

CERT Basic Training
Day 1: Sunday, August 23 - Corte Madera Town Hall
Day 2: Sunday, August 30- Southern Marin TBD
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Get certified with FEMA-approved disaster preparedness training that teaches you the basics of disaster response and safety with practical, hands-on skills. This training is open to anyone aged 14 and over in Marin County.

You must attend and complete both sessions to gain the CERT certification. Spaces are limited, so please only sign up if you can commit to attending both sessions.

The first day will be all lecture, and the final day will be part lecture followed by a short disaster simulation where students will work as teams during a mock disaster.

Registration deadline: Students must register by August 18, 2026.
