This is our resident eagle (I have named Eddie)! Very unbothered by the crowd of folks admiring him today.

Isn't he majestic!

Two hearts, One guiding light ❤️🌟❤️

💍Today was the perfect day for a wedding at Point Wilson Lighthouse, and we want to send the warmest wishes and biggest congratulations to the beautiful couple who said " I do" right here on the point today!

⚓Not only did Point Wilson Lighstation serve as an incredible backdrop, but the couple and their wedding party got to spend several nights in our Historic Accommodations.

✨There is something truly magical about starting a new chapter, surrounded by family and friends, maritime history, saltwater breezes and the soulful charm of a lighthouse.

👏 It was an absolute honor to be part of your unforgettable day!

✅Thinking about your own special day? Let us be the backdrop to your next chapter.

It takes a village.

We are grateful to everyone who helps us maintain the lighthouse and light station. Upkeep is a tremendous part of the work we do on a daily basis. Today Vincent (who has faithfully helped with various projects for many years) is cleaning the lighthouse windows.

Thank you, Vincent and to everyone who lends a helping hand to keep Point Wilson Lighthouse in good shape.

Are you interested in helping with projects or public tours? We sure could use your help. If you have an hour or more to give, a special skill set that might be handy, or just want to engage with the public and teach visitors about our maritime history while being surrounded by the vast beautiful landscape, we have a place here for you. Please visit pointwilsonlighthouse.org to join our team and become Keepers of the Light.

New hours alert!

Saturday and Sundays
11-12:30pm open for public tours
12:30-1pm midday pause (lighthouse is closed)
1pm-4pm reopen for public tours

Beginning this weekend through the end of our season we will close the lighthouse for a 30 minute midday pause. This ensures our wonderful volunteer team has the opportunity to reset in between our public tour times.

Thank you for understanding and we hope to see you this weekend 😎

Our volunteers Andy, Bob and Nikki (not pictured here) have been working hard on a new foghorn display for our visitors. Our lighthouse is a living museum and part of its history is foghorns!

Since Point Wilson Lighthouse is the gateway into the Puget Sound and one of the most treacherous and fog dense areas foghorns were essential for boats and ships to navigate zero visibility. Although we no longer have a foghorn it's important to educate the public about the different types of foghorns that Point Wilson had.

Thank you to our volunteers who are thoughtfully working to bring you a valuable piece of our maritime history!

Hope you get the opportunity to stop in when it's complete ✅

Blue skies and low tides!

Our fantastic docents Nikki and Andrew have hoisted the flags and Dick (our long time volunteer coordinator) is ready to greet the public.

Come say hello 11-4pm today 😎

We are always looking for "Keepers of the Light" to carry our mission forward at the lighthouse and share it's history with the public through volunteerism. We would love for you to join us.
