This Friday, January 30th, Intersection will be closed in solidarity with those impacted by recent events in Minneapolis and by immigration enforcement. We remain committed to the care, dignity, and the collective well-being of our community. In moments like these, rest is not retreat—it is resistance. May we slow down, look out for one another, and hold our shared humanity with intention.

We’re still carrying the energy from this gathering. 💛

At a significant moment for the arts, the Bay Area Arts & Culture Collaboration Summit affirmed the power of artists and culture workers and planted seeds for collaboration. Visionaries from across the sector shared their models, bright spots, challenges, and aspirations—weaving together a collective story. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of walking together at this moment, within a movement. Intersection's Executive Director, Yesenia Sanchez, presented on Fiscal Sponsorship as a shared economy business model for the arts that increases the potential for diversity, equity, collaboration, and support during these turbulent times.

Deep gratitude to the brilliant speakers for generously sharing their vision and expertise: Kristen Jacobson, Anne Huang, Olivia Malabuyo Tablante, Rebecca Fitton, Gabrielle Christian, David Blazevich, Shafer Mazow, Kevin Nelson, Sarah Williams, Charlotte Wheeler, Meghan Crosby-Jolliffe, Margot Melcon, Anna Shneiderman, Zakiya Harris, Cristine Kelly, Esailama Artry-Diouf, BK Williams, Rashida Chase, Liz O’Malley, Lori Fogarty, JK Fowler, and Julie Baker.

And thank you to for hosting us and holding space for connection and possibility.

We’re excited to keep building—together.

Looking to take your arts project to the next level? 🎨✨
The deadline to submit a fiscal sponsorship application for consideration in Intersection for the Arts’ Spring Cohort is January 25, 2026. Applicants will be notified of next steps in early March.

Join our dynamic, thriving arts community! If your project is at the Intersection of arts, culture, and community, our fiscal sponsorship program empowers you with resources and knowledge to actualize your vision.

What is fiscal sponsorship?
It’s a partnership where a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (“the fiscal sponsor”) extends its tax-exempt status to mission-aligned projects—opening access to grants and tax-deductible contributions.

Not quite ready? No problem.
Applications for our Summer Cohort will be due March 22, 2026, with notifications in early May.

Intersection has been a part of the cultural fabric and landscape of San Francisco for 60 years! We are seeking your partnership to help artists during a period of financial and cultural uncertainty.

Intersection makes possible the visionary work of over 145 multidisciplinary fiscally sponsored art projects. Half of our fiscally sponsored members identify as BIPOC, and 84% serve marginalized communities. Collectively, they provide vital arts programs and cultural strategies to foster change and healing.

For our 60th anniversary, we invite you to help ensure that Intersection can continue to empower artists so they can meet this challenging moment with vision, power, and strength. Each year, Intersection must fundraise over half of our operating budget. Please consider supporting Intersection with a tax-deductible donation of $60 for our 60th anniversary (or whatever amount feels right for you).
