Since inception, the Farwest Region has meaningfully contributed to the growth, leadership and vitality of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated; beginning with the chartering of the first Farwest chapter at the University of California at Berkeley in 1921. With the conference just one week away, we are excited to share the impact we will make throughout the Salt Lake City community as more than 1,500 members and guests gather for sisterhood, service, leadership, and economic empowerment.

The next generation of Delta leadership is taking center stage.

We’re honored to welcome Soror Sadè Muhammad, former Chief Marketing Officer of TIME, as the keynote speaker for Collegiate Day.

This year’s theme, Behind the Scenes of Sisterhood: Legacy in Action, will challenge collegiates to embrace purposeful leadership, own their impact, and continue building Delta’s legacy.

One hundred years ago, the Farwest Region helped shape Delta history.

In 1925, visionary leader Vivian Osborne Marsh introduced the idea of Regional Conferences in Los Angeles, California—a tradition that would later be embraced across every region of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Today, Regional Conferences continue to educate, inspire, and strengthen our sisterhood.

As we gather for the 55th Farwest Regional Conference, we celebrate not only where we’ve been, but the region where it all began.

Our story continues in Salt Lake City.
