“Wildly funny and raunchy… Much of the show is centered around (Eddie) Jen’s unconventional style of drag — as he put it, “I don’t lip sync, I don’t serve looks, I serve books!” — and the struggle to embrace it when faced with the world’s constant rejection.” -Molly Flynn, The Daily Californian.

Raised in a musical evangelical family, Bia was playing piano by age 3 and writing songs by 12 — already exploring themes of identity, faith, and freedom. 🎹✨

She left home young and traveled across Brazil with only her guitar, performing everywhere she could and shaping the bold, unmistakable style that defines her music today.

Through her powerful “artivism,” Bia creates music that sparks conversation, movement, and change. Her work blends lived experience with fearless social commentary — turning personal stories into collective empowerment. 🔥

"He (Lance Belville) spent nine years with United Press International before moving on to ABC News. Through his work, he covered the (Brazilian) military regime and its repression and violence; went on the road with American politician Robert F. Kennedy and his wife, Ethel, during their time in the country; and spent almost a year in the Amazon on second-contact missions to Indigenous tribes.... His experiences helped inspire a new play, “Rio Journal,” which will make its West Coast debut at the San Francisco International Arts Festival at 8 p.m. May 9 at the Theatre of Yugen at NOHspace in San Francisco." - Marin Independent Journal
