Last month on July 4, we honored cultural links that unite us in diaspora with a satellite screening, "Q***r Asian World Cinema" at the Chinese Culture Center in Chinatown. The program included four films by LBTQIA+ Asian filmmakers that explored the ephemeral nature of identity through memory and dream. Thank you to all who came out and shared this moment of reflection on the Asian diaspora as it is woven throughout the last 250 years of US history.

QWOCFF 2026 is a wrap!

Fifty films. Three days at Presidio Theatre. Hundreds of folks in the room together, watching stories that were made for them, by people who look like them, love like them, and who carry the same histories. Our partners are critical to bringing this completely free Festival to our communities during Pride month, year after year.

QWOCFF 2026 is a wrap, and we are still carrying the energy and love from the weekend!

Fifty films. Three days at Presidio Theatre. Hundreds of folks in the room together, watching stories that were made for them, by people who look like them, who love like them, who carry the same histories. Twenty-two years of this festival, and every single year we are reminded of why this space matters. Thank you to everyone who showed up this weekend, for the films, for each other, and for this community.

Our 22nd annual Film Festival is officially underway. Last night we opened with films that expressed Q***R BLACK JOY LIKE FIRE,
and a joyful, inspiring time was had! Thank you to everyone who joined us for Opening Night. 🎉

And we're just getting started. Day 2 is TODAY!

Tonight's the night!

Join us for Opening Night: Q***R BLACK JOY LIKE FIRE, QWOCMAP's annual screening in celebration of Pride & Juneteenth. As always, we are opening the festival weekend with joy and liberation!

After the screenings, join us at 10pm! We're rolling next door to Presidio Bowl for the Opening Night Party Bowl, co-hosted with Cinemama. Glow-in-the-dark bowling, four reserved lanes, a heated patio, and drinks and snacks at the grill and bar. Celebration is part of the resistance!
