is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to unifying the community through the purpose of eradicating hunger amongst the inner city homeless population. We personally prepare and distribute balanced meals monthly with love, care, and compassion.

For more than a decade, Oakland has been part of our story.

This billboard isn’t about us, it’s about every member, volunteer, donor, partner, and neighbor who has believed in our mission. Every meal served, every neighborhood cleanup, every helping hand, and every hour you’ve given has helped build stronger communities across Oakland and the Bay Area.

To our incredible members and volunteers: thank you for showing up, leading with compassion, and making this work possible. You are the heart of The City Eats.

To everyone who has supported us over the years, thank you for believing that communities grow stronger when we care for one another. This billboard represents what we can accomplish together.

Meal Prep Only:

*All ages are welcome to volunteer!*

Distribution Only:
🕤 11:00AM - Meal Street Distribution

- Distribution will be by foot.
- Delivered to local Shelters in Oakland
- or You can take a couple of our meals in your personal vehicle to serve communities that are not in our radius.

We’re deeply grateful to for collaborating with us to serve their delicious pizzas to over 150 kids at and in their summer youth program.

For many young people, a free lunch is more than just a meal, it’s a moment to feel cared for, to focus on having fun and learning, and to simply enjoy being a kid without worrying about where their next meal is coming from. ❤️

Our mission continues next Tuesday, June 30th. If you’d like to help us keep these kiddos smiling with extra icees, popsicles, or any special drinks they’d enjoy, please hit us up in the DMs. Let’s make it happen.

Thank you so much to and for welcoming us onto your show. We were truly grateful to be able to share about tomorrow’s Juneteenth event, celebration, and run.

To everyone who has signed up to run or walk tomorrow, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support means more than we can say. We honestly didn’t expect this event to grow the way it has, but looking back, it makes sense — when we joined forces with .makers , we knew we were connecting with communities who care deeply.

This idea is not meant to put any medal run clubs down. We deeply respect the time, energy, and resources it takes to get permits and bring a medal race to life. We see that work and honor it.

What we’re doing is simply trying something a little different: creating an opportunity for people who might not usually be able to afford a medal run to still feel included, seen, and celebrated to move alongside their neighbors, build community, and invest in their health and wellness together.

Huge thank you to , once again, for always believing in us, pushing us forward, and opening doors to such amazing opportunities. We appreciate you more than words can say.

Today, we celebrate freedom, resilience, culture, and the enduring spirit of community.

Juneteenth marks the day when the last enslaved African Americans learned of their freedom, more than two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. It is a reminder that freedom, justice, and equality are causes worth continuing to champion.

At The City Eats, Juneteenth is more than a historical milestone. It represents the power of community coming together, lifting one another up, and creating opportunities for all people to thrive. As we gather today, we celebrate the strength of those who came before us, honor the progress that has been made, and recognize the work that still lies ahead.

Through shared meals, meaningful conversations, and acts of service, we celebrate the values that unite us: compassion, dignity, and love for our neighbors.
