We mourn the passing of Sir Cirilio Bawer. Internationally known and recognized for his knowledge and advocacy of Kalinga culture, we celebrate not only his world wide impact, but more importantly his guiding light. Manong Sapi possessed a fierce gentleness that both inspired and focused our own work here at Likha. He spoke softly but assuredly; his words bearing weight and direction that challenged our thinking and our own practices here in the diaspora. And at his core, he embodied the practice of human connection and relationship; after spending time with him and the Bawer family, you always felt seen, you always felt heard, you always felt inspired. Thank you Manong Sapi for your kindness and warmth, thank you for your inspiration. Istay chiyoy.

Stories are temporary but we want this moment to last forever 🥹🥹🥹 This year we had the privilege to teach again at for their Tausug & Maranao suite!!

We always make a commitment to support PCNs across the Bay Area, and having the opportunity to teach an entire suite of dances at the school where LIKHA was founded with (dare we say) some of the most passionate students in the entire Bay is one of our favorite parts of LIKHA. Maraming Salamat for another incredible year of dancing, learning, and goofing off at McKenna 🩵🩵🩵

Maligayang Pasko and Merry Christmas Eve to all who celebrate! This holiday season, our founder Rudi Soriano distributed food and aid to typhoon victims in Cebu using donations collected at our Winter Recital.
