Welcome our new co directors for SACK 2026, Emogene and Issac…read a little about them...

Hi everyone! My name is Emogene, and I'll be graduating from UC Davis this June with a bachelor's in Sociology: race, ethnicity, and immigration. I started as a camper, then became a counselor, and am so excited for this new journey as a co-director! I love anything related to art and nature. In my free time, you'll catch me hiking, camping, crafting, or doing all of these things at once!

Hello everyone! My name is Isaac, and I’m currently a third year, electrical engineering major at UC Davis. I will be a fourth year this Fall. I’ve been a part of SACK for almost my whole life, from camper to counselor and now co-director. This summer will be my 16th! My hobbies include playing video games, solving puzzles, and making games for friends to play. I’ve made 15+ Jeopardies, 2 Kahoot quizzes, 4 “Find the Mistakes,” and working a little bit on a card game. I look forward to experiencing the role of a director!

It's time to kick-off SACK's 57th year! We started our planning for the summer of 2026, and we are looking for a SACK Director and staff.

We have updated the Director job description and are looking for someone with enthusiasm, experience working and leading a staff and campers. Please forward to people you think are interested.

Applications are also now open for SACK counselors also. This is an opportunity to reimagine our program and we'd like to invite you to be a part of this evolution.

Welcome our new director for SACK 2025!

Hi, my name is Renee Choy. I am so excited to announce that I will be your director this coming summer again! Here’s a little background about me: I have been a part of SACK for 13 years now. I grew up in the SACK community, starting as a camper for around 4 years, and then went on to hold all the staff positions, from being a volunteer to becoming a senior counselor. I have learned so much during my time at SACK, and fantastic experience being the director last summer. I am looking forward to being able to serve the SACK community again. I am currently a senior about to graduate at the University of California, Berkeley, majoring in Asian American and Diaspora studies and a minor in Ethnic Studies. Our goal this summer is to foster an inclusive community for both the staff and campers, where they can express themselves and learn to embrace what’s unique about themselves. We will have coding lessons, math lessons, science experiments, arts and crafts, cooking, and much more. We also have many fun field trips planned this summer. We are currently in the process of training our counselors and staff and can’t wait to start the summer with you.

Camper applications are still open and will continue to be open. We take children who are entering Kindergarten through 8th grade. Please pass it on to your friends and family. Please check our website, SACKdaycamp.com for more information.
